About Me - Jeff Dirks

Born and raised in Walla Walla, WA; proudly served as a U.S. Army Intelligence Analyst at Field Station Berlin before the fall of the Berlin Wall -- and a proud University of Washington Computer Science alum. I have worked in the Seattle technology industry for over 25 years spanning executive roles in software and hardware product development, cloud computing and C-level, general management roles.   I am happily married and a father of twin sons and a daughter who all keep me very busy.   We work to live and travel the world creating memories versus focusing on material possessions.    I believe in fitness as a family value and love incorporating the family into my own lifeling pursuit of performance and fitness.

Weekend visit to the track with my 18 year old son Ethan to run Intervals.  He's a 4:56 miler and preparing to run his first marathon with me in September 2017.

Rare dry run in the spring of 2017 on the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail just west of Seattle.

I am a 9-time marathoner (3:20 PR).  I  raced the 2016 Boston Marathon running a 3:42:40 on a warm and windy day while nursing a slight lower right leg tendon injury which slowed me a bit.   My first Boston Marathon was in 2012 where the top temperature during the race approached 90 degrees (there wasn't a PR for me that year to say the least).    I qualified for the 2016 Boston Marathon running a 3:27:30 in the 2014 Portland Marathon and am preparing to try and re-qualify for the 2018 Boston marathon racing the September 2017 Tunnel Light Marathon.
