Weekend visit to the track with my 18 year old son Ethan to run Intervals. He's a 4:56 miler and preparing to run his first marathon with me in September 2017. |

Rare dry run in the spring of 2017 on the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail just west of Seattle. |
I am a 9-time marathoner (3:20 PR). I raced the 2016 Boston Marathon running a 3:42:40 on a warm and windy day while nursing a slight lower right leg tendon injury which slowed me a bit. My first Boston Marathon was in 2012 where the top temperature during the race approached 90 degrees (there wasn't a PR for me that year to say the least). I qualified for the 2016 Boston Marathon running a 3:27:30 in the 2014 Portland Marathon and am preparing to try and re-qualify for the 2018 Boston marathon racing the September 2017 Tunnel Light Marathon.
